This is a very wide discipline covering English traditional ceramics, from 18th century porcelain through to Clarice Cliff, to European ceramics from factories like Sevres and Vienna, to the Chinese and Japanese wares.

The Chinese market is the one that makes all of the news these days and is a minefield to understand. The internet has played a huge part in the surge of interest from the affluent Asian markets and this has led to an increase in prices realised in the saleroom. Many of our lots with oriental roots have returned to the country of origin by virtue of the online bidding system.
