1988 BMW K100RS, 998cc. Registration number E282 XAG. Frame number 0147496. Engine number 19882085.
Introduced in 1983 BMW's K100RS was capable of a 140mph top speed and a claimed horsepower of 95hp at 7,500rpm. At its heart, was a fuel-injected, four-stroke liquid cooled 987cc, transverse four-cylinder engine mated to a five speed transmission. Standard equipment featured Marzocchi telescopic fork, monolever suspension, dual Brembo discs up front together with a half fairing. Later versions got 16v engines, radial tyres, better shaft drive and motorcycling's first ABS system.
XAG was purchased new by our vendor in June 1988 from Eddy's of Hull, and has BMW main dealer service history throughout its life; 1991 at 3,716 miles, 1992 at 5,347 miles, 2005 at 13,662 miles, 2007 at 19,032 miles, 2014 at 24,132 miles and 2019 at 27,907 miles. Today the mileage is 28.119 miles.
In March 2001 he sold it to a family member, who did not use it and bought it back in the June.
