An impressive German silver cockerel, by Gebruder Glaser, Hanau, c.1900/1910, realistically modelled with engraved and chased body, glass eyes, the head is removeable, 29cm,1105gm, 35oz.
Glaser, established in 1883, specialised in model birds and animals, they exhibited at the 1904 St. Louis International Exposition, merged in 1914 with Wolf & Knell to form Vereinigte Silberwarenfabriken.
