1983 Garelli Moped, 49cc. Registration number A716 MNW. Frame number 00106. Engine number 386341.
In 1919, Garelli constructed a 350 cc motorcycle which set a long-distance record from Milan to Naples. Rider Ettore Girardi covered the 840 km with an average of 38.29 km/h. Many famous Italian racers such as Ernesto Gnesa, Tazio Nuvolari and Achille Varzi began their racing careers on Garelli bikes. After World War II, Garelli concentrated on producing smaller bikes and mopeds for the European market.
MNW was purchased by our vendor in 2018 and has now been restored. It started with ease and rode around our carpark.
Sold with the V5C, and 1985/6/7 tax discs, it does not need an MOT but as with all non MOT machines we recommend that safety checks are undertaken before hitting the road.
