Craven Lyon, Bridlington, a Victorian silver pair cased fusee pocket watch, London 1869, the 45mm white enamel dial with Roman numerals, lacking hour hand, the movement signed Chas. Lyon, Bridlington, numbered 5679, to a silver curb link watch albert, Chester 1909, repair labels from L. L. Hinchliffe, Hope St., Filey.
Provenance, by descent from the vendors grandparents.
Craven Charles Lyon (1793 - 1888), was born in Driffield, apprenticed to John Boulton of Durham before returning to work for Frank Dobson and then John Lamplough in Bridlington. He established his own premises in 1823 in High Street, Bridlington, retiring in 1868.
